It's a knife I seen in a pawn shop. The knife looked like a puma but after better inspection I noticed the only markings on it was wildcat solingen Germany. I tried to find info on wildcat but came up empty.
Thanks for your help. Bernard might have info on the company. They might just be an importer?
I found this one. Perhaps it would assist you a little..

This is a 1960's/70's commodity Solingen stag-handled hunting knife, "Original Bowie" style.

Thanks for the info. The one i seen looked like a puma white hunter. That's why I thought it was a puma at first also the guard was ns instead of aluminum.
The higher end ones I've seen were perhaps Wingen or Schlieper contracted. They matched well with those brands.
I think your right. I found a schlieper that was the same. Thanks for the info. I can't find any dates on wildcat at all.
I have owned several "Wildcat" Solingen knives-all that I have owned were the generic styled fixed blade, but of the better quality as you would see from Linder or Anton Wingen.

What years where they made?
I would be guessing to say from memory ( asI no longer own mine ) that they would fall into the usual category of the 70's
