I'll echo what others on the board have told me... that with Blade and the ganzaa that followed, the wait was probably a little stretched out for those of us who ordered during the Blade prep time.

i can't say for sure, i'm a relative newbie to ordering direct, too, but it all makes sense, it's been an interesting two months watching stuff happen with everything going on.

What is custom shop order? Are NMSFNO available directly from Busse still?

    Woo hoo!!

This will be my first Busse, and I am psyched!

you can get ALMOST anything from the custom shop. I ordered 3 from them that are no longer in production. There are some extended wait times though if they don't have the blanks cut.

I am waiting on a Gladius, and AK47 and a Satin Hog MUK that i ordered

I'm more impressed in person, this thing feels great to my medium size hands!

Email Garth to see if he has blanks in stock. I actually emailed him regarding an NMSFNO a little over a month ago and he said he still had some blanks in the shop.

Without getting into specifics, is there a significant premium for custom shop special orders? Or would you say it's just a modest premium?

Not sure if i'm supposed to ask questions like that, but i am curious.

But not so curious, have recently spent way too much on knives lately, to ask the shop directly

the premium on the ones i ordered appears to be non-existent. I got my blades at the original (non-show) prices

That's good to know... i've done exchange, ebay (shame on me), each of the three bussekin brand sites, and a ganzaa...

Once i recover, maybe a gladius is in my future

Or at least, a NM something.

    thanks!

I wanted a Busse sword for a VERY long time, and when i found myself in the position to do so, i ordered a Gladius AND an AK47 from the custom shop. I may only keep one of them, but now i have the opportunity to play with both, and figure out which one i like most. After that, i'll decide if i'm willing to part with the other... but you know how that goes.

I just ordered a Spyderco Techno after reading a few positive comments about it. It looks like it should be here Saturday.

Well I'm irritated. According to the tracking # I was given, it said my knife was supposed to arrive today so I've been anxiously waiting for the mail man all day and when he finally arrives, no package and no Busse TGLB. Just a bunch of bills Oh well like that little red headed orphan once said "tomorrow is only a day away" (of course she wasn't waiting for a Busse either).

I'm waiting on a Rodent 6. I have one, it is done. I was notified. but they need to contact me for payment. Apparently the credit card info gets deleted after 30 days or so I was emailed. I'm dying of anticipation. Anyone know if they have a phone number? I offered to call, but no reply. I got 2 Busse's last month, 1 scrappy, and 2 more scrappy's on order. Ack.... the pain, the pain....

I can feel your pain! We live in a rural area, and normally, our letter carrier (gotta know what to call them to get your mail on time) just won't come up to the house, even though it's only 200 feet from the mailbox... must be the 165 lb mastiff, i dunno.

But on more than one occasion, i've actually seen the status change to "unable to deliver" on the web site, when i've been sitting at home waiting.

So, i now put many little "notes" out that say stuff like "we're home," or "No, the dogs aren't out." "It's safe, we won't eat you if you bring us our knife..." and stuff like that.

Just one more day, buddy, though i'm sure that since my TGLB was twice as expensive as my R6, so shall the last few hours of waiting be twice as unbearable.
