So far I see a common theme of you can't stop at just one.

A Scrapyard Regulator was my gateway Bussekin. I remember thinking how big and beefy it was and how much stuff I could chop with it. Then I ran across a great deal on a norcalblacktail modded BWM and after that I was hooked. I've probably had 50 Busses and Bussekin through my hands in the last two years and hope to see another 50 in the next two.

In German we have a saying: "I'm too poor to buy cheap". Following this principle I was looking for the best of the best - trying to avoid any future expenditures on replacements or repairs. Then the reviews guided me to this wonderful place

Was looking for a Neck knife and found the Assault shaker gen II on Amazon. I stopped bidding at 120, but after I went to bed the wife got on and bought it for 165! Never had the heart to tell her she paid way to much, And that was about 6 years ago.

I had researched them and saw they were supposed to be tough. YUP it was but swapped it to another DOG for a Swamp Warden just last year. I like the warden better.

IIRC ronybear gave up a cpl of BM's to a knife maker friend of his and they were converted into two Infi switchblades. The extreme desire for a Busse folder can take peeps to the *extreme*,,,,,,, I guess

I was looking around for a good high quality blade for around 4 to 500$. Looked around for a while on the for sale: custom and production knives section with no luck. Then I noticed that there was a special section dedicated to Busse Combat Knives. Clicked on it saw a few for sale and fell in love the SFNO series right away. That was only a few months ago, and I finally got my dream fixed blade, the NMSFNO!

Since you own both CRK and Busse knives, what do you think of them side by side?

Since I bought a zaan, Imma respond to this.

Busse = Amazing slab of an awesome steel, good looking, sometimes gorgeous, sometimes not. The engineering going in to the knife is not visible, but is tell tale by the amount of abuse the knife can take. Some of the CS knives are true works of art.

Umnumzaan = Amazing piece of engineering that you can see and feel. Perfect machining, perfect grinds, beautifully sculpted blade. This knife is a work of art in itself.

I was looking for the toughest fixed blade I could find that could stand up to anything. ended up watching some of noss video's and was like damn these blades can take a serious beating. then jumped in with a BWM and been loving it ever since. though I keep having to buy more lol

Whenever he got one in the mail that I liked, I would simply commandeer it. This is the best (and cheapest!) way to acquire Busse knives. I highly recommend this method

Now I have just under ten Bussekin knives, our 7 month-old son has his own that he gets to admire from a safe distance, and Tim... well, I don't think even HE knows how many he has right now. But it's a LOT!

Hahaha Maybe I should add the line "use 'Ma'am' instead!" to make it more apparent...

Oh... and I forgot to tell the tale of how I came across the brand... I haven't been browing Bladeforums for a long time, but whenever I'd come across a thread concerning the Busse brand it would never be accompanied by negativity unlike a lot of other popular brands which seem to have both the good and the bad... And the designs are simply awesome, so I figure it's due time I check them out for myself

Yes, I forgot to say how I found the company ...

Back in the 80's we had one firearms dealer over here who was bringing in custom knives ... Frank at Framar's in Blackburn ... he was also the main Sig Hammerli specialist for the UK ... so I was often there looking for a P210 ... he got me this



and then got me hooked on "custom" knives ... Jerry was'nt around back then so a number of other custom knives started me off ... then I graduated to Busse ...
