I acquired some older Smith & wesson and Scrahde button lockers awhile back. When I tore these down, they all came apart easily and all I had to do was mill out the pocket for the coil spring. I purchased a few more and these were WAY different. The bottom two screws were IMPOSSIBLE to get out without stripping them, and the hole in the blade where the spring hooks was in a totally different spot. Did they change these to intentionally make it harder to convert them?
Is this something fairly new or has it been this way awhile?
