    Question on a Linder marked knife

    My 16 year old son bought this off a friend, Only marks on it that i see is the Linder Messer Solingen Germany Mark, didnt see any elsewhere
    Google didnt yield anything nor ebay, looks like a bayonet only smaller
    i dont even know if the blade goes with the handle? or what...
    appreciate any leads

    Commercial version of the German "Youth Knife," also sold as boy scout knives. The guard is broken.

    thanks guys, i checked linders website and guess i didnt look in the right area, so any ideas when they used carbon steel, noticed the newer ones listed as stainless

    Linder offered carbon steel blades well into the 1970s, probably later, and possibly still do.

    Thanks Bill, Linder must of stopped with the carbon as i only see 420 stainless on their site
    is linder a decent brand, ive never owned one

    That looks like a standart pathfinder knife. They are still sold here in Germany. Several companies make/made them.
