What are some good small autos?

I'm in the market for a small automatic knife.

I would like one with a blade no bigger than 3.5 inches and it has to be out the side.

Can anyone give me any ideas of some knifes to check out.

    Thanks, Dylan

I like the new ProTech/Emerson CQC-7A. Impeccable fit and finish, and my ProTechs fire faster and harder than any other autos I own (and I own quite a few). Their TR-2 would also be worth a look.

I know ppl probaly gonna bash em alittle but a piranha pocket1 is 105.00 online. Alittle side play but is still a fantastic knife. Although the piranha knives and me just dont fit. I found my 1st one. bought my 2nd off a buddy that found it at a skatepark it was A pink bodyguard lol he wanted 20.00 and he was happy. Sold thisone to guy who ended up losing it. Next i recently had an Amazon model stolen from my gfs car. Pocket is all i have left : ( . So if ur like me and getting an auto that sees alot of time in ur pocket and ur pockets arnt deep a 100.00 knife sucks to lose still better then a 200.00 knife lost. O and the amazon is a great knife mine had solid lockup and ive never seen a piranha fail to fire and lockup.

Protech. I like the Doru and TR-4. Both great knives and Protechs are some of the best ots I have messed with.

Benchmade are going to be your best bit IMO. Their out the side autos are great, have a solid kick and I have never had one fail. If you want a "small" auto then the Benchmade Impel is a good knife, but it is small...like a 1 or 1/12 inch blade. Protech is also a good quality brand for the money, definately fire hard... Keep in mind these are not legal in most states, getting one at a local knife store might be out of the question and getting a online store is the same. Some local knife stores may carry them and let you look at them but they will only sell to LE, Military etc. If that is the case just order from FleaBay or pick something up here.

I have a few autos that I am letting go as my taste has changed...let me know if you would like to know what models...

There are quite a few. Protech Runt (under 2"), Protech Godson, Microtech UDT Auto, Microtech Mini Socom Elite Auto, Microtech UMS auto, Benchmade 3200 and Spyderco Citadel 83mm. All these are under 3.5" and if you check I think you will find that several of these models are for sale on the forum by individuals.

    Turn up your volume-

Probably my favorite at 3.375", lightweight (has a kick), great craftsmanship.

Another vote for the ProTech Emerson. I have the CQC7A and it's solid.

The Protech Runt is a workhorse of a knife and no slouch either!

This one I've had for about 8 years and is a solid performer!

I just got an Emerson/Protech CQC-7A tuxedo auto. Blade is 3.25 & not exactly sure on weight but its very lighg knife. Then again my last 2 knives were ZT301ST & Benchmade Adamas 2750 Auto which are both fairly heavy folding knives. I cant give info on how durable this knife is considering i just got it in mail today but it feels like a well built knife. Dont know if this helpful or not but hope it is.

I like the Piranha Pocket (P1) Model. It is smooth and will disappear inside your pocket.
The Piranha Amazon is also worth a look. 3.45" blade and 3 ozs.
I have fondled a Mini Bodyguard and it was too small for my paws but ymmv.
