A few months ago I sold a Queen #49. The other day I decided to get another one. So here it is.
As one who loves Queen's knives but also is very frustrated with the sometimes sloppy work I am quite pleased with my latest knife.
The F&F was pretty good. No glaring gaps in the springs. No wobble on any of the blades when open. The grinds are pretty good also. Sharp out of the box I would give the pull on all three blades a 5-6. Good snap going back in.
The only problem is with the shield. Seems to be sunk a little too low.
Not the sharpest picture. But you can see how low it is in the slab.
The thing that I've noticed and I could be wrong. Is that the blades are a little thinner than previous versions.
All in all a nice large stockman. You just gotta love that honey/amber bone!
Into the pocket this one goes
