First Regular Large Sebenza, What to Expect?

Well guys, I've wanted one for awhile and a really cool forum member parted with one and it's headed my way!

Just wondering what to expect, aside from looks alone, any difference(s) from the 21?

Owners of Regulars please post away!

I've got one on the way as well, and I wouldn't mind hearing some opinions as well.

The regular is a fine knife.
I breefly owned a large 21 and i must say that i probably like the Regular better!
Don't give me wrong, the 21 is a great knife as well but the discontinued factor, on the regular, made it much cooler for me
I know that will soon change so i may just buy a large 21 sooner rather than later
Still what i really like on the regular is the fact that you have a broader blade and a not so tactical looking one at that.
The regular feels a bit more beefier in hand so that's also a plus on my book and also, due to those finger grooves, you can choke up more on the handle than on the 21

    Always found this video interesting!

I'm not saying the regular's better but it really is an awesome knife to own and use.

Expect greatness and you will not be disappointed.

IMO, the large plain regular represents Mr. Reeve's finest work to date. A true masterpiece.

Congrats to both of you and enjoy using those folders.

    A little visual morsel....

I've carried my regular large sebenza nearly everywhere with me for the last couple years, and it is by far the nicest knife I own. I want to send it in for the spa treatment, but I'm torn because I don't want to go without it that long. Congrats on the knife, and be sure to post pictures when you get it.

They are nice. Great feel to them.

Are they as different as some make them out to be?

Probably not. I think much of the fascination and obsession with the regulars is because they are discontinued.

Of course, I will not be selling mine any time soon...

There is something about the regular that just feels better (to me).
First, and maybe that's just my specimen, the regular is just much smoother then all my 21s.
Second, the blade shape is just much better for EDC in my opinion. Food prep is a dream with the large regular. Mine has the swedge and I love it.
Also for some reason the knife feels chunkier. I know it isn't but it feels that way to me. It feels like a tank, a beautiful tank...
You will love it, use it and you won't look back...congrats!!!
