Headed out today this morning for a sunny hike with my girls and my Swamprat Vex.

I'd not been out long when I started to get bit on my legs, I rubbed some Vanilla leaf on and that kept the bugs at bay !

Walked to one of my favourite view spots, I couldn't believe how many Dragonflies there were today.

Found some Hookers onions today, apparently their bulbs are quite tasty, I'll give em a try when I next find some !

Played around with my Swamprat Vex some more, this knife is growing on me more and more each time I use it !

Pretty close in size to one of my other most used knives, my Vic GAK ~

Found this large alien blob like fungi near the swamp !

My little swamp donkey had to cool off !!!

Took this little video showing the Dragonflies~

Nice pics Pit, and nice gig. I like the looks of that Vex. I just traded my Rodent Solution away as part of a deal for a knife I have wanted for a very long time but didn't want to spend the money on. Should be here tomorrow so pics soon

Now you've peaked my interest, looking forward to seeing this one !!!

I love the Vex, it's different to most Busse-Kin blades in that there is no typical choil, the design puts your finger right next to the blade. It's got no coating on that I have to remove. It's pretty thin stock but still enough to be sturdy. It's D2 steel which should prove useful on the wet, humid west coast !

Really like the picture of Maisy, and the 'blob'. For some reason the gig/spear made me think of frog legs.. now I want some.

That's a blanket statement that covers a lot of knife brands and makers.

That really does look like a great design. I've tried many Busses over the years and while many have been ok but never perfect for me until I got the cabs. It too doesn't have a choil and what a difference that makes for up close cutting.

    Great pics Pit!
