As many of you may have heard, I have graduated from my apprenticeship with Andy. I want to thank those of you in the Fiddleback family for your help and support, I will still be around but if you want to check in on me I have my own forum now, under Dogwood Custom Knives. I want to thank Andy for taking a chance on me. I know I have gotten more out of this than he has, but I hope that one day I can repay him. I also want to thank Dylan Fletcher for his time and patience, although I was not technically his apprentice, his help and influence has been invaluable. Whatever I have achieved and whatever I will acheive, will be because I am standing on the shoulders of giants.

Thank you Andy and Dylan for your help, time, and patience

I'm really lucky to have worked with Dan. And I'm really proud of his knives lately. When he sold knives to Julie from ACK at blade I was very impressed.

    That's awesome Dan, congratulations!

Forgive me for the hijack, but I've been very interested in apprenticing and unable to find any concrete information on it. Is there concrete information or is it up to the discretion of the maker?

    Rob,
In Andy's shop it is based on ability and quality of product, based on the last 100 knives I have sold, he feels that I have met both those standards.

thank you for your interest in my work
