I have a co-worker who also volunteers with the local Fire Department. He's interested in a compact carry tool for breaching. What are the best choices for this tool. Are the small Halligans good tools?

    Paratech tools.

Thanks for the tip. Looks like good stuff. The 'Buster' tool looks pretty sweet. The 'Pryaxe' might be better still. Do you have any experience with those tools?

As an aside, their (Paratech) website has to be one of the worst designed websites I've ever seen. But I found numerous resellers websites that work fine.
