I was thinking this morning about posting how much I like this forum. Certain things like the respectfulness of the members and how trolls are not tolerated were definite points of praise. Then when I went in to find a place I thought was appropriate to post I saw the whole Chickentaxi mess. Pretty much confirms what I was thinking.
Anyway, I've noticed on plenty of other internet forums, youtube comments, review sites, etc. a tendency for people to be snarky jerks hiding behind an ambiguous user name trading escalating insults. Not much of that here at all that I've come across. Questions are answered respectfully, critiques are generally well thought out and not over the top, I even bought a knife a few days ago that I was not 100% satisfied with and the seller was really cool about me sending it back.

You'll find, as in any large community, that we have the usual assortment of knuckleheads, troublemakers and pot stirrers...but by and large (taken as a whole) this community and its denizens is second to none (imho) and proves its value via its members daily.

I'll second that. Bladeforums provides me with many daily escapes from the grind (no pun), lots of good internet buddies to hang with and tons of good knives to lust after. That combination is hard to beat.
