Here are some pics of the BK4 after a couple months of near everyday use. I have chopped, batonned, hacked, slashed, pried, dug, hammered and everything else you can think of with this BK4, simply put I haven't been kind to it. I'm thorougly impressed with it's performance, if I were to choose a single tool this would be it.

Here are the pics showing the finish on the blade, not great, but has held up well considering.

Here is the only damage done to the blade, today actually. Was hammering a wooden stake and smacked a rock on the ground. No biggie, it'll sharpen out.

The BK4 has quickly become a favorite, because it's pure performance. It really is a machete/axe.

Now to the remora, it doesn't get much love so I figured lets put it to some big knife tasks.

Can it baton this? Lets see.

Besides hurting my hand a little bit from the shock of beating on it, it did fine. Tough little bastard. It also handled notches/carving and making a fish spear. I wouldn't want it as my goto blade but it's surprising how much work you can get done with a little blade.

The remora doesn't seem to get a ton of attention around here..

Chameleonbear- You never have a shrub in the yard that needs to be trimmed back or something? We must find you an excuse to buy a 4!

I thought the same thing. Then a tree stump that had to be removed came along. And of course tree branches that just had to be "trimmed".

I live in a loft. I have no trees to take care of. My "get away" property, is in Chicago and it's an apartment. I have no trees there either. My cousin however has a landscaping business. HE has a use for a 4. He just was about to get an SOG machete but I do believe I talked him out of it. We'll see. I'm gonna take him to my knife shop when he gets in town.

    Glad yall liked it.

Honestly about the 13, I didn't like using it much, was kinda painful. It is very conveinent though and helps prove you don't need a humongous chopper to get work done. It would be awesome with a cord wrap or handles. I'm gonna be doing a project soon involving a remora, brass disk and stainless tubing. It'll be very much like a Randall 18. A larger handle would definetly do it some good and I've always had a thing for hollow handle knives so why not make my own.

    EPIC!!!

the 4 is my next blade. It seems like a blade that is good at all tasks but bad at none.
