    How sharp are your knives?

I just spent some time sharpening my 11 and 14 and wondered about you guys with the bigger blades and how much time you spend sharpening them.
I'm going to be getting a BK9 next month which will be used mainly for clearing brush and batoning.
I always sharpen my EDCs to a razor edge (BK11, 14, 2, and phat bob), but with the larger blade (BK9), and what I'll use it for, it seems like a utility edge will suffice.

How sharp do you guys keep your blades?

I sharpen beyond 22 degrees despite the international treaties.

Just depends, I am mostly lazy with my knives and I wait until the whole box of them is dull and then sharpen them all at once, where as my axe's are always razorblades on sticks.

If they are sharp enough to shave, they're ready to go.

I sharpen my BK9 to shaving sharp, but it doesn't really have to be to do its job. If you haven't tried one before you are going to love it. I probably have more fun with my BK9 than any other knife in my collection. It's just an awesome chopper!

Obviously the reason you are being hunted by Interpol.

My BK2 is my sharpest knife. I had slightly chipped the edge chopping vines on my property and in the process of sharpening the chip out I ended up with a scary sharp edge. It scares the hairs off my arm. Didn't mean to get it that sharp but I can live with it.

I have been working on my Beckers since I got my Norton's stone a few days ago. My 17, 9 and 2 are scary...especially the 2. My 14 is pretty dang sharp, and my 11 is way better then it was.

It's amazing how sharp the 2 will get, dont seem possible that 1/4'' crowbars can shave babies.

shaving sharp. a few will cut curls on a hair, but that's just a bonus, and pointless for a chopper which will probably beat that edge off right away.

I probably took 5 minutes to convex my factory edged 9 on my belt sander. It is newspaper push-cutting sharp and even whittled a hair once. You definitely don't need it that sharp though, I just like it that way.

My knives are always hair popping sharp, or I would not carry them

Sure, it's Fisk's....but you know half of us on here have tried it. The ones with baby access have anyway.

My bigger knives are just barely shaving sharp.

My 14 is a little sharper, it can push cut phonebook paper.
