I'm not sure this is the place to post this, but...
I'm hoping some one can let me in on some secrets or something, as I just can't make kydex sheaths for the res-c handled knives. I can make sheaths for micarta, G10, etc, etc, handled knives, but not res-c.
The problem is, once the sheath is pressed, modifications have to be made to be able to get the knife in again. You can't just force it or it will damage the res-c.
Note: Res-c is the handle material used by scrapyard and busse, and is an almost rubbery type material.
Can anyone offer any hints?

I did my own for the 311, you just need to take your time and apply a little heat when shaping the opening.

It is easy to overheat the res-c but with some care and a wet paper towel between the handle and kydex can be helpful .
I don't have a heat gun & just hold the opening of the sheath over a stove burner, turning as needed, until it gets pliable.

Thanks for the tips everyone.
I've tried twice with my new 911, and failed both times. Once I flare it out enough to get around the res-c handle, I lose all retention.
I guess it's just trial and error, and I'll have to keep trying.
G10 and micarta makes it much easier!!

Success! Thanks for the tip Kiah, that did it. I'll edit this post with a pic. It's not the most beautiful sheath ever, but it works very well.
