the lock face must be too steep,
that sucks hopefully they can fix it for you!
I've had my ZT 0561 for a couple weeks now and just noticed something wrong with the lock. After opening and engaging the lock I can push the blade and disengage the lock - the only thing stopping the blade from closing completely is the ball detent. It only happens when I'm not holding my hand over the lock bar.
Will be sending it in for repair - anyone else have this problem?
Lock engaged
Holding in same grip and trying to close blade w/o disengaging lock

Sorry to hear that.
I just tried it on mine, if I understand what you're describing correctly. Mine doesn't move, rock solid.
A few weeks ago I used a little jig at my friends house to clamp the blade it place and hung 200lbs. on it. It had zero lock movement. It could have done more but I was only out to see if it would close with force, not to find ultimate breaking strength. It did fine.
So yes, if yours closes with a bit of pressure by hand, then it is not in correct working order and Kershaw would like to help you I am sure.
Send it in and they will take care of it, they are great to deal with. Good luck
Thanks for the input everyone. It's packed up and on its way home to ZT. To ease the pain of losing the 0561 for a while I ordered a 0550 with a battleship gray Hinderer scale - guess that will have to do.![]()
