    Hello!

I wanted to say hello to everybody here, and introduce myself. I am a HS senior this coming year and am extremely pleased to be. I plan on going to a college with AFROTC (maybe NAU, UNM, or U of Wisconsin) and of course be in the Air Force after that. boring I know
I have owned knives since I was 5, and started having an addiction to them in the last year, and figured I'd join one of (if not THE) largest knife forum to be found.

    So... How're you today?

Welcome aboard. This is the place to be if your passion is knives.
The worst thing that you can do to a knife, is not to use it.

Don't downplay ROTC. I was in ROTC at Auburn University on an Air Force scholarship. The things I learned and did in those classes were an asset to me for my entire professional life.
Although I had back surgery as a senior and became ineligible for commisioning (and OneY in the draft), what I learned, particularly in the field of effective communications, preparing and making speeches, briefings, etc., gave me a lot of skills that many engineering grads don't have. I would place the entire college AFROTC experience (social, leadership, communications, etc.) on a par with Dale Carnagie courses. Of course that was a different time and place, I don't know what they do today.

I'm actually really looking forward to ROTC; it was the listening to me talk about it that would've been boring.

    Thanks for the welcomes!
