Not unless the knife is illegal in the first place. There are no age laws in Canada but yes, some stores will set their own age limits to reduce any possible liability.
Hi, I understand the canadian laws about knife carrying and that it is allowed concealed or open if it is a tool, but I'm not sure if there is an age requirement. I think I heard something about this but I'm not sure. I know that some stores don't sell knives to anyone under 18, but it is store policy and not law. Im in high school and was just wondering if I was searched and the officer finds some pocket knives on me, will I get in trouble?

There is no age requirements, but you can't carry a knife in most schools
Thanks, thats what I thought. And yeah, my school doesn't let you carry knives, I only take one if I'm leaving the campus for lunch or something, and I keep it in my bag.![]()
There are no age laws. Many retailers have an 18+ policy.
My 6 year old daughter carries a SAK when she's not in school.
