As long as people were ok with a random draft - it would be too hard to coordinate a pick-em draft -

I would want someone else to co-commish as well as a control check for everyone's benefit.

All that said - I am ok with the idea - we also will have to have Mr. K's permission as well.

I love the team-scale colors - I would go with 'Da Bears!! I wonder if they make a nice deep blue color to go with the Orange liners!

well...i just got through saying how much i love football, so i should step up here. i can co-commish andy. also, if you are planning an espn league, you can just set an online draft day/time. those that cannot login for it can set their player rankings (or just use the default system rankings), and their team will get auto-drafted.

Should we make the prize a specific knife - I would vote for an LRK+ with scales and liners to match your favorite NFL team (for instance, the Bears with deep Navy scales and orange liners, with satin finish would be nice) - I think that could be done for around the $150 price point.

Another option would just be a $150 credit to get whatever you want from Mr. K -

thanks for the legwork on this andy. now, back to the chatter....

so, i watched the pats game thurs nite.

the good:
ridley looked good. vereen looked good. i was actually impressed with the D. solid effort. and, it's about time they drafted some defensive help. both jones and hightower looked legit. i am looking forward to seeing this D develop.

the bad:
the o-line was terrible. i'm seriously scared that brady will be hurt by week 5. and, i don't like seeing the "happy feet." also, while i thought ridley looked pretty good, he runs upright and is not the smartest RB. BUT..again...vereen also looked good. so, the depth is nice.

Hey folks - good news - Spark (the forum head admin and owner) has given his permission for us to run the JK Knives FFL League.

I have asked the mods to reinstate my post with the instructions.

Remember - this is a voluntary effort, and all of the proceeds of the $15 entry will go to Mr. K to make a knife for the winner in the winners chosen NFL team colors.

We have to act quickly - I have the draft scheduled for this sunday.
