My Patsy spends as much money on the animals as I did years ago when I was a boozer. This morning I was greeted with a gang of crows squawking for breakfast .Also there were tufted tit-mice,cardinals & squirrels waiting for breakfast. Oh, I forgot doves by the dozen.

Out Patsy goes out with regular bird feed mix ,premium sunflower seeds & Orville's popcorn. In hot weather she places bowls of ice water throught the yard.

Our dogs get the premium treats. If she should buy something they don't like , they pout but if I offer it to neighbors dogs, it suddenly becomes desireable .

We also share food with friends & family and generously contribute so it salves my conscience somewhat .

I'm confused. What's the discussion you're trying to get going? Sorry if I'm a bit obtuse

Good going, private generosity is what we need lots more of in this world whether it is to our neighbors or to the critters we enjoy watching. What a great legacy you folks will leave in kindness and thoughtfulness, sure is better for you than the booze.

    You're lucky that she's not feeding coyotes.......yet.

    Yep! ^
We put food out; apple peels, corn, old bread. Which ever critter come first, gets it. And we have lots of critters.

My wife thinks a deer is coming down to the water she's fixed to run for the horses out at "the ranch". I told her that if it has horns I'll put out hay for the "horses" there too!

We have a couple bird feeders that she keeps going in the winter. We also let some vines grow up around the back deck fence as we love to watch the little birds come get all the seeds.

Bird feeders hang from all the trees in my back yard. My dog loves to go chase them in the winter when they land to eat bugs.

My dog Angel gets lots of goodies!!! I'd feed the squirrels, birds, and all the other critters that visit our yard if Angel hadn't run em all off!! We used to have lots of squirrels but not anymore, lol!!!
