Cool little California-legal switchblade, still made by California Knives. I don't know how old yours is but a picture of the knife and packaging may help. A google search will yield their website.

Found a knife in my Dad's desk after we moved him into a rest home. He can't speak anymore due to a stroke, so can't answer any questions about it. It's in a black box with a gold label that says "Rocky Enterprises. Design by Rocky. Knives. The Original California Auto." A label on the end of the box says Red/Orangewood. When you press the mechanism, it jumps out so fast it's scary. Any idea how old it is? He's 86 years old, but I have no idea when he got it. I'd have to bet he never used it. It was probably a gift. I'd like to find out more about it.

Given it says Rocky Enterprises, on it, the maximum age it could be is 15 years old, since Rocky Enterprises was founded in 1997.
Those knives are still manufactured and sold by California Knives ( http://www.californiaknives.com ), and I have read that Rocky Moser has a relationship with them. If you want more specific info, I'd recommend you just give them a call.
