    Wicked Edge 1200 / 1600 Ceramic Stones

Do these even exist anymore (or yet)?

I just got my Wicked Edge and I can already tell that I miss having a fine/ultra-fine ceramic set of stones to use. I've seen the 1200 / 1600 ceramic stones for well less than the "Micro Fine Ceramic Stones Pack" that just has a "Course" and "Fine" on the sides, but I don't know if one is being replaced by the other (neither are in-stock anywhere).

Do they not make the 1200/1600 ceramic stones anymore, or are they a new item and not available yet?

I'm using finer grits of sand paper taped to the stones for now, but I'd love to have the ceramic stones.

This sucks, I was getting ready to order some. I'm missing the 1200/1600 and 1/.5 micron strops for an almost perfect mirror edge and I was about to order both. 100, 200, 400, 600, 800, 1000, 14 micron, 10, 5 and 3.5 micron adds up to a pretty nice mirror polish that will reflect perfectly and give that "sticky" sharpness, but the scratches are still pretty easy to see in the finish.

If they're out of stock, will the website show that (accurately)?

We're still trying to decide what to do about these stones - I love them, as do many other people that use them with our knife sharpener, though they are very different than what many people expect from a ceramic stone. We've had some issues with the manufacturer that we're trying to resolve, and hopefully we can carry them again. If so, it will be at least 5 weeks before a new batch is ready.

Very cool man. Out of curiosity, what exactly did you mean by "though they are very different than what many people expect from a ceramic stone"?

Not sure if the site is real time, but I know they update every business day. Howe's is also a great place to deal with. Where else can you buy stuff at MSRP AND get free priority shipping!? None of the manufacturer's, including WE, even match those prices or shipping. No dis to Clay or his company. He's a GREAT guy. Talked to him at BLADE and he answered ALL of my questions and the said I could call him any time. Now, what business do you know like that!?

Clay are the upgrade arms going to be available separately?

Definitely worth it between the 1000 grit and strops.
