    Great thread (tx. to you)!!!

Tx. You guys are great. So are the choices and pictures. I want them all! Well, maybe half will do :-).

I haven't counted but the variety of choices is waht I notice most. (If Spyderco, it might have been half Paramilitary IIs. Spyderco is a great company, too. I just wish they used more than two blade shapes on most of the blades!)

There seemed to be a bit of late support for the longer knives. And some of the bigger knives. My thoughts, too!

I noticed the adamas in a few pics. I want one but don't know if my pocket can handle it. Then again, I want the Rift, other Osbornes, the Ares, more AFCKs(!), and so many I haven't seen in pics.

Great thread (for me at least) --- thanks to you guys! Terrific forum!

I'm waiting on a 710 and 581 to try, I liked everything about the AFCK except the hole. For some reason I find the hole opener slower and awkward to manipulate than thumbstuds or flippers. So I end up never carrying/using them which means they have all gone to new homes.
    I like using knives.
Looking for: Custom scales for Benchamde 710,

Out of what I have, probably the AFCK limited axis. It's hard to just pick one though.

My current line up is: AFCK, Onlsaught, Small Onslaught, Contego, Adamas, Semper-fi Presido Auto, Mini Reflex, Rukus, Barrage, Large Grip & 2 Small Grips.

Of the Benchmade's I personally own, I would have to go with my 950 Rift. Great ergo's, great blade shape and fits just right in the pocket. The 710 and the Mini Onslaught are right up there with it though....

    Good choice...

Thinking about getting this. How is the finger protection of one aggressively pries? Could the fingers ride up the handle. Could jimping make it even better as nutnfancy implies?

It's a great knife regardless. Not to mention handsome.

I have an adamas on the way. And am seriously considering a contego as well.

It is a handsome knife, I have it in the satin PE with the gray and black G-10. As far as your hand or fingers riding up the blade I would find it very unlikely. The shape of handle along with the texturing of the G-10 literally locks you in. When you hold it in your hand in several different grips you are locked in, it feels very confident in the hand and would never worry about my hand riding up the blade. I will say that some of the scalloping on the top and bottom are a bit sharp but not overly. I don't have a problem with it at all, just that others have mentioned it...

You're going to love the Adamas, it's a beast and feels great in the hand. Fit and finish was also killer at least on the one that I received. If I may offer a suggestion regarding the Contego, see if you can feel one in hand. I had one and although that knife is beautiful it really hurt in the hand when used. I'm just talking cutting down cardboard in my experience and there were hot spots all over. The handle is very sharp all over the place, it seems to have been made I guess for gloved hands....YMMV
