Great knife...
Ka-Bar Mk1-1...
i have the kraton handle version great hunting camping knife i think!
So I have a question for you guys that already have the Mark-1. Do you all think the Kraton handled version is more grippy in the hand meaning less likely to slip when wet. I'm thinking about purchasing one. Any information would be greatly appreciated.
TLA - I can't speak to the Kraton handle, but my leather handle does not suffer a "slippery when wet" problem. I roughed up the leather, and then soaked with mineral oil. It is a good, grippy surface, wet or dry. I'd say to go with the look you prefer.
TLA, This knife is super grippy whether wet or dry, plus the ergonomic grip and that sucker isn't going anywhere.
I'm deifnately going to buy one but I'm still trying to decide which one to get. I might end up getting both. Thanks for the respones.
Tony
Get both. Make life easy. That's what I did. I have to say that I prefer how the kraton handle feels in hand over the leather, regarding grippiness. I bought the leather one just to have (it'll end up being used though, I am sure) and the kraton to use.

I went ahead and ordered one with the kraton handle and it should be at my house by this Wednesday or Thursday. Maybe I will get to use it this time when I'm home. Eventually I will probably strip the blade coating as I'm not a real gig fan of black blades. I would love to see Ka-Bar come out with one in a leather handle and a polished blade. I would snatch that up in a heartbeat.
