Cause I could really use one a week from Monday. Will start cutting and spudding 14,000 or so pounds of tobacco (5.5 acres). Here's a pic taken tonight of me (6'2") standing in the field. My buddy is busy topping the plants lately and it will be a year that will make us or break us work wise. Lotta cigars, cigarettes and dip out there for all the nicotine fans

I cant wait for mine too bro! Do you hand roll? What kind of leaves? I'd love to sample a few cigars. My humidor is on the light side lately.

I'm just helping a buddy grow it, cut it, bail it and sell it. I'd love to learn how to roll my own cigars, but no clue on the processing between the field/market and the end user. We are growing two different types. One is 14L8 which is a Burley tobacco and the other is new, which I believe is a Kentucky hybrid.

Hahaha, KAAK, why do you look frightened in that pic? Looks like a scene from a B flick horror movie

And don't forget what you learned on Seinfeld: Dominicans roll cigars too tight, Cubans roll 'em just right.

Had a bacon sundae today from Burger King. Wasn't bad but the gal made about an inch or so of fudge and caramel in the bottom of it. Decent, but may not eat another

Haha. We're looking at having to cut around 34,000 plants. That means having to grab a plant as tall as me, bending down to cutting the stalk that is around 2-3" thick, then spearing/spudding it onto a stick (4-5 plants per stick), then hanging them up. All while playing in 80-90 degree weather. Right now, it is going to be a two man job with some help on a few days. We'll fill the barn up with one field and then will hang the rest in a make shift post row for the rest and cover with plastic. Really praying there isn't any hail or strong storms rolling through till we can get it all cut. The soil isn't too rocky but I'll probably be burying the edge a few times and may have to take up a brother hog's offer to use his till mine arrives.

Probably will double up on the paracord handle so it's thicker. I have alien sized hands and not sure how it will handle for all that work. After we get the crops taken care of, then I'll be having some fun throwing it.

QUICK!!! Cross it off haha. Hope you can try it some time. Really interesting of getting the hang of spudding it without the stalk splitting on you and dealing with the gummy-ness of handling it. I can guarantee you won't drop a football after a day in the field

Okay, so it doesn't look like my Kill Devil is going to be here in time for cutting So I thought I would check out the video again: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=osa9eT5MJlQ How did I not notice the handle looks a little different. Not sure what that is, but doesn't look like paracord. Is it Res-C, paracord covered in a rubber dip? I'm curious and may want something like it if it's effect for chopping

I think it might be a piece of bike innertube slipped over the paracord? Jerry? Lexi? Pokey? Garth? Anyone?
