Bought this Kukri in Chiang Mai's Night Market. It's pretty well made. Looks like someone used the hell out of it before I got it and I even lopped off a small branch with it, effortlessly, and it's not even that sharp. Anyone have any clue who manufactured it?

A good Enep will out-perform this :
"I was always careful to draw my knife down on the face, never across or upwards. Always down. So that if the knife slips you don't cut an artery. After all, chivving is chivving, but cutting an artery is usually murder. Only mugs do murder."-Billy Hill
Do you see these around a lot? It is a lot shorter than a typical kukri, but it seems to function pretty fine. The blade also seems pretty firmly aligned to the handle and doesn't budge when I try to bend it.
In Nepal yes. It has been known to be soft other knives can shave sheets off it.
Any blade with the right grind can take off a branch. Can you repeat it for a few more times and see how it cuts later.
I will stick to original khukuri that's a lot less fancy.

I'm back in LA now so there aren't too many branches around to lop off. I could buy some wood and try batoning with it though.
You've got a nice souvenir, but if you do get the kukri bug, definitely head over to the Himalayan Imports subforum. If you're impressed with what you have, you will be blown away by what genuine quality working kukris can do!

Only sharp knives are interesting.
Will do. Hopefully, I'll be able to stop at buying just one of them.
