I have been looking for a nice knife that is stout but small enough office use since I work in an environment there is a legal limit of 3". Needless to say there are lots of expensive knives that I would love, but my budget just can't take a $100+ knife at the moment. I was looking at GPK, and I happened upon a Boker Plus Hyper Knife today. It is a Chad Los Banos design with a 2.75" 440c blade, a steel framelock, and one G10 scale. It is 3.6 oz, which is not superlight, but it is thin, and frankly it weighs the same as the new Spyderco Techno. I think the blade may be a partial flat grind, and it is a nice and wide drop point. My hands are fairly large, and I can get a comfortable 3-1 1/2 finger grip. The lockup is tight with no blade play. Best of all, it was under $40. I think I have found my new work EDC!
