    Carl,

I love your stories and just wanted to thank you for writing and sharing them. They've become a ritual for me -- I read one every night after the work of the day is done, before I head home to my wife and daughter (thanks Bastid for listing all the links). Your stories help me relax after a hard day, and put me in a good mood for the ride home. Anyway, thanks. What you do means a lot.

    Warm regards,

    Mikel (Tucson, AZ.)

Wow, you're very welcome, Mike. I'm just glad that I can make someones day a little better in any way I can. Having you tell me that I've made a difference means a lot to me.

    Carl.

Yep, once again, Carl, you've spun a vivid yarn. Thanks for posting; you're really an excellent storyteller.

I think this one strikes a nerve because it something that so many people dream of doing, yet few have the opportunity or courage to do. Mine may not be Key West (although it doesn't sound bad), but it still the same dream of being happy and free regardless of the place.

I'd just be happy to have the nerve to quit this 9-5 in a cubicle, and open a music shop where I could sell and work on acoustic instruments and give lessons.
