Whole Bunch Of Knives... are they all garbage?

I found a for sale thread on the knives pictured below. I am by no means knowledgeable about these kinds of knives, but i thought perhaps you folks might know what they are and whether any of them are worth owning

They're all $50. This is NOT a for sale thread. I don't even own them. Just looking to see if anyone can ID them as being quality rather than swap meet garbage. I don't want to add more trash to my collection

    These are intersting...

Please do not post values of any knives you might see. If you see something you can identify as decent quality, please post the maker and model, but NOT the value. Don't want to violate any form rules here.

    Thanks!

They are worth more than 50$ for sure, damascus is never dirt cheap, stag handles usually arent put on crappy knives.I think if you want for the members on BF to help, you need to put more pictures with close up shots because if its a blurry picture and most of the blades are in the sheaths we cant do much.

The last damascus ones you posted look like some of the cheap Pakistani knives.

Yes...damascus knives can be that dirt cheap.

I'm trying to get better pics from him now. I have so many crappy knives, that i don't want to buy anything that isn't something i'd be proud to have in my collection

here are a few more pics of individual blades

most of these don't look all that well made to me, but a few look nice

I googled the name single shadow dagger that I see on one of those boxes. I suggest you do the same. I would sell them dirt cheap on ebay and buy 1 decent knife

I imagined they would at least be worth more than the 50$ cost, maybe i had a higher expectation for damascus.

I don't own a single one of them. I won't buy any of them unless i can determine that they're decent knives. I have seen that shadow dagger before at 9.99, so i know it's trash, but some of the others looked like they might possibly have been decent

i didn't clarify. They're 50 bucks EACH. I know several in that bunch that i wouldn't want for FREE, so i'm just looking to see if any of them appear to be a known maker who produces quality blades.

I know it's not much to go on... just thought someone might see something they recognized

I got that after re-reading my original post and realizing that it might be read as $50 for all of them rather than 50 each :P

    sorry

i was thinking exactly the same thing. He says he's trying to liquidate his collection and he's willing to take .40 cal ammo in trade. I have 10k rounds of .40 ammo so it would be nothing to pick up a few, but i'm not looking to get hosed, and i don't need more mystery steel trash knives

I wouldn't buy any of those for anywhere near $50, but that Damascus wharncliffe thing looks like a cool design.

If he values them all at the same price, it either means that they're complete pieces of shit and he's trying to rip people off or he stole them from someone and is trying to make a quick buck off of them.

The old Edgemark bowie is certainly worth more than $50.

Some of the stag handled knives look decent.
You might try to get a few close ups of those. I see a few that could be German made.

There's no way that all of those are each worth $50, but in the rights side of the second picture I see what looks to be a sheathed Super SOG Bowie, worth ~$200 NIB - I'd pay $50 for that!

Is this a guy that you could meet and view his collection in person? I'd pick through each and simply decide which seems worth the $$/ammo to you. Some look like project knives that you could make your own, others might make nice gifts to non knuts, others might certainly be worth $50 (like the SOG) for resale, and others might just be fun to own. If you meet him in person, perhaps you could talk him down...

    That's what I'd do.

The knife with the large ring at the guard looks like United Cutlery's Terminator 2 knife which was sort of collectible. It may be worth the $50 now.

The knife on the box marked PUMA may be okay, for the price (if it's really PUMA), but I can't see what model it is. If it's made in Germany, I'd consider it.
