    Quick question:

Anyone ever (legally) make a SBR? (Short barreled rifle)

Thinking about going the trust route to avoid extra paperwork/hassles, and building a 10" 5.56 or 300 BLK AR15. I'll probably do a custom build with one of my gunsmith friends using top shelf components.

Also thinking about having them setup with silencers, as I'm not a fan of the noise.

From what I understand, subsonic 300 BLK with a silencer is the way to go for low noise.

If anyone could share some insight regarding the process of making a SBR or silencer, I would appreciate it.

Would also like to know myself...been sitting on a kit for many yrs.

Trust is the way to go. Some have said they did it themselves with something like quickbooks will maker...or whatever its called, then others say the BATF will not except thoses anymore..?

I think they will still accept a Quickbooks Will Maker trust, but some guy apparently filled his out incorrectly and the BATF wasn't too happy about it.

To clarify, I'm planning on taking existing AR15 lowers and filling out the paper working and paying the $200 tax to register them as SBR's.
