    Bow-drill Divot already there...?

I've never tried bow-drill ignition techniques, but wondered if the normal brass-tubing in micarta'd rats suffice as a divot for a cone-shaped head on a bow-drill. The brass should reduce friction...

Anybody ever dried to use their rat for bow-drill fire-starting?

Yeah, the tube fasteners work just fine. Both brass, & stainless versions.
