Congratulations on the new knife.
It's a beauty.
I have always been fond of Karl's knives.
The blueing gives it a great look.
Being a take down just makes it that much more cooler.
My knife collecting has lead me into knife making but I still like to purchase knives from makers who's work I admire. I just got this knife in the mail from Karl. I must say that everything from placing the order, to the packaging and execution of the knife is beyond professional. This is a hot blued damascus hunter with hot blued guard and ironwood handle. Wow.

Beautiful knife - and I know that sucker will cut.

I am a fan Karl's work, and this looks like an exceptional example!

A real beauty, and Karl is the king of knife packaging.
Yeah, that is Nice!
I agree, very nice. I'm also a fan of Karl's work.

Very nice! I will eventually add one of Karl's Damascus hunters to the other 3 of his knives I have in my collection. Very well made blades and his sheaths are nice and heavy users too!
VERY nice! Karl makes AWESOME knives. His takedowns are my favorites, and his shipping crates are legendary

I don't comment on very many knives, but did on this one, when Karl showed it on the CKCA forum. The colors are wonderful and the blued guard is just the perfect touch. Altogether something that anyone would want to own - to use or peruse.
Had no idea Karl went to such extraordinary levels to ship! Wow, what a container!

Wow! That's a beauty!

Yowza!
At one point, my life was meaningless. Hobos spit on me and little children would run up and punch me in the groin.
Super nice!
And people think I overdue it on the packaging! lol.... I love that set-up! When I get a table saw set up in the shop I'd like to start packaging them like that.![]()

I think that on is my new favorite from Karl! The Ironwood is so warm and figured and the blued guard looks great with the damascus. I like the size of the knife.
To me the ideal knife! Good score!
I have one of Karl's creations, it was my first handmade/custom and it is so well made and super sharp! I would love another one!

Those are all some pretty great comments folks.
Mitchell's was project wa confusing at the moment.s a fun one. The hot-blued guard kicks it off.
As far as that packaging goes - it's something I've been doing for 8-9 years. Stupid simple.
And strong and safe!!
Sorry I could not have commented earlier, I've moved to a new location and things are rather confusing at the moment.
