found a way for me to carry my new BK14

I work in Finance and am required to wear slacks and a shirt and tie all day every day....this has typically made it more difficult to carry a blade all the time however after picking up a BK14 yesterday I decided to try and wear it for the day and see if it projected too much or even enough to get comments about carrying a knife. I am glad to say that my 14 sheath fits perfectly in the sewn in cell phone pocket inside my front pocket and it prevents it from getting cocked to one side or the other having virtually no profile and has been comfortable and almost non noticeable from a wearing standpoint IE weight/awkwardness.

anyone else have different ways to always have a blade on?

I posted my 14 in another thread but figured I would include it in this one as well

I wear similar garb to work (Corporate SysAdmin) and had the same issue, I wanted to EDC a fixed blade, but the belt wasn't an option. I went with a Skystorm Leather pocket sheath for my BK14. Fits great in front or back pocket, and I honestly forget it is there until I need it.

You make a shoulder holster system for it, out of some paracord. If you wear a jacket, then, its gone, but easily retrieved, even when sitting.

I start with 9' of paracord.

Run it through the 2 bottom eyelets in the sheath.

Then, you're gonna want to tie a knot about an elbow length back.

Then, tie another knot another elbow's length, so there is 2 knots.

Slip your arms through the loops you just made, like a jacket, then, tie off the opposite end from the knife, to your belt. You just made a shoulder holster.

    So, how goes it?
You know how it is, rum, sodomy, and the lash.
Yeah, they quit the rum a couple of days before I joined up.

    LMAO!!!

Is there anything else, you wanted to know, Nix? Coyote brown, patterned after the original, but the opening was sized to fit the zytel.

I'm not very fond of it, I screwed up on the heat near the top, and shined up the kydex. But, its just a work in progress, I plan on doing another in OD, that's is more to my liking.

I hear that with hollowed out paracord, that rig is damn comfortable. Looks pretty versatile, I might turn the knife on its side and lash knife side and off side both to my belt. Hmmmm gonna have to get some paracord now ..lol.

    That's what I did. 1000'.

I got paracord hanks floating everywhere around here.

Never use "all" your paracord. Gotta save some for zombies, and Abraham Lincolns and whatnots.

I didn't want to know much else. I was gonna say something along the lines of you being a man of few words but then I remembered who I was taking to. So I went with a short ok.

I wear my 11 horizontal on my belt by running para cord through the eyelets. If you wear a jacket it should be covered. Or you wear it on the small of your back.

I would make a shoulder holster for my 2, but it's illegal to conceal fixed blades in Florida.... I think I need to move to South Carolina, much more acceptable knife laws.

Shit bro I forgot to even say what I thought about it.

I think, from the pictures, you did a pretty nice job on it. How many more are you planning on making?
