I'm just amazed that these are being sold for three times the web special price on the auction site.

So am I and I'm watching all I can find to see if any actually sell for those prices. I bought this one earlier this year from an exhibitor at the Pasadena show for $80. Another BCCI member had found the guy, bought one and told me about him. He had four I believe and left the show still with two of them. They were all in the little grey jewelry box, not a paper box like the build outs. I suppose looking back, I should have bought all of them that he had.

I'll have what imafritz is having

The camera loves this knife. Nobody doesn't like silver and gold.

I was working the dredge in shallow clear cold water, near the great Kalmiopsis Wilderness Area in Southern Oregn, removing the last layer of sand off of the emerald green bedrock and laying about on that deep green smooth surface was lots of gold all yellow and pretty with an inner light. My, exhaustion, sore back, bug bites, sunburn, headache, pinched and cut fingers, freezing sore feet all faded into deep darkness with no bottom and all I saw was the brilliant gold on that shining green. I picked it up and it was good. A beautiful moment and lesson for me about the powerful influence gold can have.

Mine arrived yesterday (along with a 118). Beautiful. I can't believe Buck shipped this knife bare and unprotected in a box. Even my cheapie China Bucks came in a plastic inside bag. The original sterlings came in a jewel box AND a cloth clip pouch.

I grabbed one off the bay, I paid a bit more for it but it came with a 1 year membership in the BCCI, I think I may try to give it to my daughter.
