Took the twins out to get a little firearm training in just before dark yesterday eve. Took just a few pics & thought I'de share
This is across the road on the hill from my home, this is usually where we hike & play at but they have been logging it for the last month & it's a mess now

My Mark II occasionally spits hot powder in my face and arm, it comes from the area around the back of the bolt. Be careful shooting them without safety glasses.

oh, man that's a bummer! at least you got woods time there before they started logging...am i seeing it correctly, one is a righty and the other is a lefty? or you're teaching them to practice with both? i'm a lefty but i practice with both.

I love seeing stuff like this. Great post. They look like they're having a blast. Much better than video games any time!!

I have a Ruger 22/45, but grew up shooting a Mk II. It's a great platform.

A place that we used to go to in SE KY was logged and completely changed the untouched feeling that you got when you are there. Progress I guess, but there was some great timber on that tract.

How do you like the safety on the Ruger? I've had a couple of them, still have a 10 inch stainless one but I've never cared for the safety. I wish they made it lefty friendly.

Not bad once I got use to it...This isn't a "Combat or EDC " gun so it doesn't bother me.

Ruger KMK512- good guns. My Da had a Red Eagle Ruger. First handgun I ever shot. Fathers/boys and shooting build memories that last a lifetime.
