No sympathy at all. You didn't have a problem with the price when you paid it and no one forced you to buy it. It's yours now, just enjoy it.
No whining. No regrets.
Not much sympathy for the OP here either, I've paid the premium many times for a blade I wanted. I have bought some limited models at ganzaa and factory prices and hope to make a profit on some of them some day. The Busse group business model seems to be working well for them and others.
It's called supply and demand and sometimes luck. Hoorah for capitalism, may it continue. Self interest is what made America the greatest country in the world. Arising tide lifts all ships. Please remember that in November.

I dealt with Eric many times. We've traded blades, bought and sold blades. The markup is part of selling on the exchange, it always has been. Thats how I got my basic 11. yeah i paid more for it. Not a big deal to me. Dont hate the player, hate the game. And might I add that Eric does participate in helping out Hogs. He put in a pre-order for me, no questions asked. Not for profit or anything else. He is a stand out guy and an ethical sales man to do business with.
I ain't bought from ya yet Eric, but I'm sure I'll get around to it. I've seen some of the favors you've done for folks & they're all commendable so that says alot about one's character. And I just bought a dog booty straight from the shop yesterday, & with shipping inside the US, it's $54.95. I personally don't think 70 bones is unreasonable. Especially to get one in something besides black! I'd give both pinky fingers for a desert sage.
I have had a few passed on from blade with no mark up.
$15 extra, for a knife to ship to you from an individual (to Canad), for a color that may never be released from the Yard?
sounds like a great deal!!!
Shoot, mark up can be $100+ just from some one packing home a blade. Some times much more. (some may not remember the crazy mark ups from some banned members).
Fact.
He helped me score an Assault Shaker this morning. Texted at 8am on a freaking Sunday but oh well
Besides, if that color is never released, just think how much the value is going to increase. If it is, oh well, you still have a great little knife. And once they discontinue that knife the value is going to increase so take comfort in that. Use it, enjoy it. Now if you don't mind, I have to come up with a game plan to tear apart a wood pile that I lost one of my Booties in tonight throwing it![]()

Here and there I have paid extra, but I am always happy if I get what I paid for.

BTW Thank You to Eric, for helping us less fortunate hogs get our hands on some nice blades.![]()

Dont forget that those of us who purchased the booties off the exchange already have our knives in hand. If you order them from the company its going to be a little wait untill you get them.
Buying on the xchange is different from getting a knife from a proxy. On the xchange, a seller is free to set his price, be it at $15 or $150 markup. Often the markup is very reasonable, sometimes it’s a ridiculous markup, and I’ve also seen knives at or below cost price few times. A buyer is always free to decide how much he/she is willing to pay for a knife. I’ve bought knives many times knowing the markup was high but I chose to buy it because I wanted it and I wanted it NOW, WITHOUT waiting. I have no grudges against the sellers, no regrets. I got what I wanted, when I wanted.
On the other hand, folks have also sold me knives at cost $ as well as have proxied for me @ cost $, I was happy to pay the added shipping cost to have the knife shipped to me. I am very grateful to those hogs. This is what it is to be a hog, and to help a fellow that can't travel the distances to be at show, for many reasons. If I am going to a show and someone asked me to proxy for them, if I could help the requestor, I would certainly not ask them to pay me extra for a knife because of my expenses of attending the show; I would have that expense regardless of helping a fellow hog.
Though I have never bought/sold/traded anything with Eric, he has gone out of his way MANY times to help me score a knife, because he knew I wanted it. Heck, he even offered me a knife @ his cost when he heard I was interested in a knife and wasn’t able to score it on the ganza, this is without me even asking him if he wanted to sell the said knife. That says a lot about a guy.![]()

Eric is nothing but good peeps. He was always asking if I'm looking for something, or if I want a so and so that he picked up at blade. He was doing this for a lot of people.
OP needs to do what his little smiley suggests:and put the foot right back in the mouth. Flipping is a part of the game! I've bought from E-man and many others, some prices were low, some were high, some were in between. I've lost interest in blades and sold them for a loss with some, hooked a brotha up with others, and scored some profit on some too. It's all part of the game. You pulled the trigger on the deal... only one person to blame here. Take some more enjoyment in it and don't buy if you feel you're getting flipped on, if it bothers you so much. Just sit at the computer waiting weeks on end for that one guy to sell below cost...

Tom I'm going to have to call bs on that argument. It's often said here and it really makes no sense. You didn't go to blade just to become a reseller, it wasn't a business trip. It was a holiday. And if you are racking up intreset on some conspicious consumption like knives... I can see why we are in an econimic crisis.
I sell anything, knives, guns, cars, etc, for EXACTLY as much as the market will bear. I don't sell things to do other people a favor. I sell them to get money, to buy other things that i want or need. If I can't get what i want for them, i don't sell. If i am asking more than you want to pay, don't buy
if you don't like buying at a markup, buy new, or find things that are sold at or below MSRP.
I have OFTEN bought things that were in high demand, and sold them for 40% or more above what i paid.
Free market capitalism
Agreed... Doesn't seem like starting a public thread to complain about a tiny amount of money that you, an adult, perceive as an overpayment on a deal that you initiated and completed is very wise...it comes off as passive aggressive and petty. It's like blaming the Thai restaurant for your firery diarrhea after ordering "extra Hot please"...

An economic crisis?petah, I certainly would not want to cause you ANY discomfort, so just to make sure I will never do anything for you that might cause you to get your knickers in a twist.
