Looking for a list of knifemakers from Canada. Wondering if any has a list or a way of finding them. I use to use the canadian knifemaker guide website, but its not up yet/anymore.
Thanks

Hi Matthew,
We are still working on the Guild website at the moment. I will post here when it is up and running again. It will have the list of paid members to the Guild.
Ah! I was just going to ask about the guild website! Looking forward to seeing it!
Look at the listings in the knives annual. Not all Canadian makers, but a good place to start.
would be nice if there was a sticky in here of them? I know of many that are not part of the guild?
We could start a list here and put it up as a sticky. I could get all the payed Guild members listed.
A sticky of Canadian makers would be fantastic. Makers name contacts and area they are from would be a great asset to the Canadian forum here i think.
even if they're not in the guild.
For sure all makers. I just have the list of paid members for the Guild that is all. I know of a few more though.
I have quite a large listing of websites of Canadian Makers that I'm happy to share whenever something is decided as to how to handle the listing.

I think we should just start listing them here, then put them all together in one post to be stickied later.
This is a great idea. I would love to buy a truly Canadian knife, but I certainly would not know where to start looking. Since the list is not up, does anyone have any good suggestions. I like Becker BK2 and looking for something like a BK11 or a BK14.
The Guild list I have is on a different format then my Mac, I am trying to reformat or load it onto my PC.
The website, is still a work in progress.....sorry for the delays.
Thanks for the update, Craig. I just had hoped that in lieu of the website, we could have posted a list here that would allow potential clients to connect with active makers. I didn't know there were technical issues in formatting the information. If you want help, don't hesitate to ask-- I'm sure there are some gurus here that could assist.
