I will be acquiring this knife from a member here this is what i know it was a collaboration between the member and Steven Chrisjohn a native american artist . The blade is titanium the guard is wooly mammoth tusk not sure about the handle horn ? Has anyone seen anything like this ? What would something like this be worth ? I couldnt pass it up the mix of modern and traditional materials is very appealing to me . These are the only pictures i have right now Thanks in advance for any help .[IMG]h

Greetings: Far be it for me to critique someone elses taste in knives or a knifemakers skill but since you asked, I'll offer my two cents and hope it doesn't offend you or the maker. If I saw that knife on a flea market table for $20 I don't think I'd even pick it up. Other than the handle, which the "artist" doesn't appear to have done more than scratch his name on, that's got to be the ugliest blade profile this side of Pakistan. The blade finish seems a little crude in the closeup pic. Are you sure it's titanium?? The blade really looks to me more like a Chinese or Paki product that's been recycled into what you have there. The original edge grind looks like it was resharpened. Certainly an amateur maker IMO. Anyway, don't listen to me if you do really like it as this is just MY opinion.

No offense taken don't know if it is titanium not in my possession yet not sure how i would even tell i have to admit wouldn't be my choice in blade style but just thought it was a different not a big investment on my part so if it's worthless not the end of the world appreciate you're honesty. I've read all the post i could find here just not much info on the maker. Rich

He makes knives from stock blades, and I am not sure those are available in Ti.
