Dale Chihuly exhibits at the Dallas Arboretum

Got out to see these finally. If you like blown glass sculptures in a nice outdoor setting AND you are anywhere near Dallas, this is a must see. This trip was only a quick look and I plan on getting back a few more times before the exhibit moves in November.

Dale Chihuly is, of course, from Seattle. I was his work very early on and seen it often since.

Years ago, I went to the Dayton Art Institute in Dayton, Ohio (an impressive museum if you are ever in Dayton). I asked the receptionist what special exhibits they had. She ticked off several and then asked, "Do you like glass sculpture?"

    "I love it."

"Well we have a special exhibit by Dale Chihuly."

"If you've seen one Chihuly," I replied, "then you've seen them all."

She laughed and said, " Isn't it true."

My other half is from Dallas and saw this exhibit when she went home for a visit recently. She returned with lots of pictures and said she really enjoyed it. Looks like good stuff.
