Thread: What fixed blade do you carry?

What fixed blade do you carry?

What fixed blade do you EDC or carry occasionally, that might be used for self-defense purposes? How do you carry it, do you conceal it? I hope this topic does not turn into another discussion whether knives are appropriate for SD, I just really like similar "What do you carry" topics in the other sections of the forum, as I enjoy learning more about the taste of knife-loving fellows, who also have some "practical-tactical" love.

I carry an izula 2 in a ksf leather pocket sheath. I am pretty pleased with it, but then again I don't do as much knife fighting as some of the folks here

    lol

Regular Izula here. I have it on a TekLok on my belt. I don't really carry it AS a weapon, but I suppose it could assume that role.

Used to carry an izula iwb just left of my belt bucke, but I've just got a new bushbaby, had them make it about .25' longer. The dangler sheath attached to my belt sits in my right front pocket, with just the very tip of the handle sticking out. If I really had too, I suppose it could be used for defensive purposes. I find that fast feet and quick hands usually get me out of any trouble better than a knife would, however.

I carried mine on a teklock with the molded plastic sheath it came with for a while, but I just didn't care for it. The KSF sheath seems to work pretty well and has a slot for a flashlight.

I also carry an Izula everyday. but its just a backpocket in a kydex sheath. just the most basic fold over type. Not really a weapon, but it is pointy, so...

BTW i love the Izula love on this thread.

BK14 carried scout or slipped into right front. More of an EDC multi-use knife for me.

Bk14, scout carry with belt keepers, or just in the pocket. Depends what I'm doing.
I don't really carry it for self defense, but if it came down to it...

Usually i carry either my Bk11,14 or a custom from jr19703... I conceal in my front or back pocket or a coat pocket... Don't carry for self defense mostly just for practical uses...

The REKAT Pikuni is an outstanding little knife!! I'm generally a big knife guy (Bowies), but absolutely fell in love with the Pikuni while making the sheaths for REKAT. Great little workhorse of a knife that holds an edge for a long, long time. Stout enough for anything you want to do with it.

I also carry a jr19703 custom, looks like a classy spyderco temperance 1. Also a Spyderco Bill Moran, that's my work knife/beater.

I carry a 3-4" fixed blade in my jacket pocket when the weather is cool.
Lately it has been a Fallkniven F1 in 3G / Azwelke kydex sheath.

fallkniven F1... great knife and small enough to be out of the way, and yes, if push came to shove i'd think it would make a pretty savage SD piece in the right hands, though i would like a little more guard if i were going to stab someone somewhere bony
