The tribal adoption of our son Eddy has been completed. He came to us four years ago as a three year old foster.child. He has been in the system all his life. We five adopted daughters and two bio daughters. Our bio daughters each have seven children. Our life is full.Eddy has always been a true gentalman. He loves to help. I am 58 and Vickie is 50. We have five at home and three grown. My goal is to live long and help launch these kids into adulthood.
All of our adopted children are Alaska native. Every one of the over 200 remote native villages in Alaska is its own tribe. With the Indian Child Welfare Act it is hard for non natve familys to adopt native childern. We have learned. the battle is not ours.
