I don't know why, but this knife appeals to me more then any other knife. What I was wondering though, if I ever decided to do any modifications to this knife, what do you think I should do? Are there any custom scales? Also, are there any different blade steels that the OD-2 has or is it just 8Cr13MoV?

The only modification that I think can be done to the OD-2 is custom g-10 scales, and kershaw doesn't sell any scales for the knife but you could send it to someone like Tuff Thumbz who could do custom g-10 scales in a variety of colors and many different styles of corigation. He does very nice work for reasonable prices.

I carried the OD2 for awhile. And I have thought about going back to it. The only thing I could find wrong with the knife are the scales. I would like the knife to be a little more rounded.

if you can find the OD-1 it is a bit larger, and has better blade steel (14c28n sanvick i believe), I have it myself, love that knife! you can stone wash the blade & frame, duracoat, or get custom scales.

I've never handled the OD-2, but what kind of traction does it have (high, medium, small)?

The reason why I'm getting the OD-2 instead of the OD-1 is because I want to have a Cryo, Skyline, and OD-2 with me at all times possible and the OD-2 appeals to me. The customization isn't a big deal to me, but I was just curious if there was anything out there that I could do to it if I wanted to in the future.
