    Papa likey. That mod takes away the main thing I didn't care for about the 17. Legitimizes it for me anyway.

    Great mod! I was thinking of taking the clip way down on a 17, but that's enough to make a difference.

    Went out and did mine up last night. Took about 15 minutes with a mill file

    I like it, and I did the same mod to my 14,
    was thinking about doing to the 16, but now
    I'll wait till my 17 arrived.

    Those scales are dead sexy!!

    Interesting, we took slightly different approaches.
    You dropped the tip to meet the line from the spine, whereas I dropped the spine (mostly) to meet the line from the tip.
    Neat.

    Looks like a straight swedge to me, sorta like the 9, or 10 has.

    Sil, I did my 7 like that a long time ago. Primarily for batoning, but I like the subtle profile change.
