Fixed Blade - Get a custom off here that strikes your fancy
Just curious what knife you all would recommend for that price range.

Fixed Blade - Get a custom off here that strikes your fancy
First question: What uses?
My answer will be significantly different depending on your use.
I prefer traditional folders from GEC. Tons of patterns, all "old tyme" patterns. Just so classy and interesting. Case/Bose collabs fit in the higher end of your price range too.
For the 250 you can even get into custom slip joints.
For one handed opening. I recommend other knives.
For fixed blades, that is a pretty decent price spread as well. All kinds of great options depending on what you are looking for.
Busse is on my list in the small fixed blade at that price range, as well as a double handful of custom makers on here.
I would just use it for Edc and I'm looking for just folders
My favorite in this price range is the Paramilitary 2. Something a little smaller: Sage 2. Something a little bigger: Military or Benchmade 710.
Hows the bm 710 compare too the pm2
Benchmade 810. More than I'd hoped for. Love it
I would agree with a para 2 if you don't already have one.
I'd say the 710 is more comparable to the Military. It is a large blade, but has a better blade to handle ratio than the Military. I go back and forth between the Military and the 710 if I want a large blade. In my opinion the 710 carries better in the pocket, but the Military is more comfortable to use.
Between the 710 and the PM2, I use the PM2 more for EDC tasks. I find the 710 a little big, plus the PM2 has a very fine tip which allows you to choke up an do detailed cutting.
Here's a picture that shows a comparison between them and a few other knives. The Military is the top left one, 710 immediately below and the PM2 to the right.
My 710 has a combo edge, but I would get a plain edge if I bought it again.
