Found my G-Shock GD-100 that I was sure was lost, turns out someone had just 'misplaced for me'.

Stoked to have it back, it's been MIA for over a month and it's my favorite watch.

Well just a update. I am on the mend. Still not back to normal, and my Doc is still shaking his finger at me, but have gotten back to doing some shop work. Taking it slow for now. But don't want to get to behind either. Turns out what he thought was phnemonia was a severe lung infection. I give you all 1 guess what he blames it on. Sorry to dissapoint all you guys that called dibbs on my sh!t if I killed over. But I think I'm gonna make it!

Just in case anyone was on the fence about a FPR BK16 or the other FPRs, that site is offering a 10% discount and $5 shipping but it ends today.

Edit: Yeah, I got one thanks to Derek's powers of persuasion.

Dang. I kind of want your grinder. But I kind of want you to finish that knife for me too.
    Good news, dude. Keep mending.

Glad to hear you're doing better, Todd. I had a serious lung infection once. That was before I started making knives, so you CAN get them for other reasons. Keep on feeling better!

    Story time!!!

So today in school im talking to a couple of friends and this one kid who always had a problem with me comes up. Long story short were in the middle of a conversation and he tells me to arm wrestle a kid behind me. Mind you (the one behind me) is about 6'2 at around 220 lbs. big boy. The one that dared me is 6 feet tall maybe 140-150. Im sitting around 5'7 130 lbs. I agreed to do it, the one telling ne to armwrestle had money on me. He was the only one. I won. Yeah ME. Now he's saying im weak any anybody can beat him. O.k. Get your a$$ in this seat and well se if you could win. He ends up pushing himself off the desk and putting his body weight on the other kid and still looses...Shows you dont have to be big n' tall to be strong.

    End.

    I agree.

Off topic but I hate when you buy something 3 days ago, send the seller multiple messages and emails, and still get no response. It really irks me when people do that.

Just got back from Yale New Haven Hospital. The wife had her left hip replaced with stainless. Couldn't talk the surgeon into using 1095...

Anyway, "minimally invasive surgery" they call it, but you still need a hole big enough to put the head of a femur through.
Couldn't believe it. After 3 hours in the recovery room they send her up to the post-op floor, the physical therapists are waiting. After a few exercises in bed, they have her get up and walk across the room to the bathroom just using a walker! Only hours after surgery! If I didn't witness it myself I wouldn't have believed it.
Guess the guy is pretty good with a knife...

Isn't modern medicine amazing! My mom has had both knees replaced and both times they had her on her feet the same day. Definitely not something I would want to attempt after a major surgery like that.

Whether you think you can or you think you can't.........you're right

Hey K9, good luck on her recovery, just an hour from here.
My mom had the second one done early this year and she was on her feet amazingly fast and gardening most of the summer.

Glad to hear your gonna be fine Todd, and don't let the doctor tell you that steel dust can kill you, it can only make you stronger!

Also glad to hear Mrs. K9 made it through surgery and started recovery very quickly. My grandmother had either her hips or her knees replaced a while ago and she was in and out faster than you could ask how she felt.

Glad you are getting better... If you aren't able to get my blade done before the gathering, it's alright, I don't mind waiting. I'd rather have TMHunt still in business. Although it would increase the value of my knife otherwise <_<

Happy to hear Mrs. K9 is getting better, quickly. It's pretty amazing how quickly they get folks back up. Apparently they say it's better for the body to not get too used to babying after surgery. I dunno, personally when I have someone cutting on me, I ain't getting out of bed the rest of the day.
