I'm watching Deadliest Warrior. They are doing Seals vs Israeli Special Forces. They have the Seals carrying the Cold Steel Recon 1. I don't know about that.

Yeah I dont want to be on that list
Deadliest warrior was cool, some parts were rigged but still pretty good...Better than all the trashy shows currently on TV here.
I never got to see deadliest warrior..![]()
Deadiest warrior was a great idea for a show. Unfortunately they picked the wrong bunch of hosts and the guesses they had on for the weeks warriors were tools to say the least. They were jacked up to make the viewer think that there was resentment between the two instead of focusing on the real difference in the fighting styles. It had a chance at being a great show but was ruined by the upper management morons that think they know everything just like everything else in this day and age.

Need I remind you of the time in a drunken ramble you threw a piece of scrap micarta that took a nasty bounce and stabbed her in the leg? She tells me of that all the time! Its pretty bad folks. I'm 6, 4, hold 2 black belts, make weaponry, and I'm the nice one out of a family of 4. I think everyone takes after momma! ;-)

My local beer store has the Milk Stout. I have had recommendations about the the Dragon's Milk before, but the only New Holland I have seen is an IPA.
If you say the Milk Stout is good, I'll have to pick some up next week.
I've got Breckenridge Brewery Oatmeal Stout and Sam Adam's Cream Stout in the fridge right now. Both are pretty tasty.

Just caught up on chat thread, hope I didn't end up on Pysop's ignore list!
Deadliest Warrior is awesome but they lost me a little when they did the Vampires VS. Zombies episode.
So here's an activity I'm not used to... Urban/rural backpacking....
So going from no where, a town, to nowhere again, and back to a town. Probably 35-45 miles worth.
What gear would I need that I don't for normal backpacking?
Also there is a possibility of a number of people looking for me while I'm doing this....
Well, for this Gathering I decided that since the missus was with me, and we were going to be there for five days, I might as well do so as comfortably as possible. Ordered a new 6 man tent, two XL cots, and two air mattresses to go with em. Ordered them all Monday morning. They arrived yesterday afternoon. That is pretty quick IMO. Very excited for next week.
