It apparently was for Bill Clinton and Jack Kennedy.
I went on a blind date a few years ago with a woman who told me she would love to pinch Obama's butt.
The other day, a woman mentioned in something she wrote to me that she fantasizes about holding Obama's hand, walking along the beach with him under the moonlight.
Those are just two examples that come immediately behind, but I know I've heard other women make comments, now and then, about how they were hot for Obama. This makes me wonder whether this is a significant factor influencing voting behavior. I haven't seen any studies on this topic. If you have, I'd love to know.
I sure hope that's not how voters are choosing among candidates.

I hada teacher who said her mom was going to vote for GW Bush because he was cute. I think I have heard the mention that Romney was good looking somewhere. I don't think it is a significant percentage of the vote but it certainly couldn't hurt. Maybe the candidates should dress a little trendy sometimes instead of just a boring business suit.
But then again women tend to be more turned on not by looks than by details about the person so it would probably be time better invested to make women think that they are caring and loving and like to listen to women.
Well, there's this bombshell news report about Romney from earlier in the summer:
“Whether the knife falls on the melon or the melon on the knife, the melon suffers.” -- African Proverb
The Onion is great. But no matter how hard they try, they can't seem to tell as many lies as the Romney campaign.
I know I'm going to open a can of worms with this; but I think the reason you won't find too many studies for this is because, based on my unscientific and completely irrelevant observations, this phenomenon has one gender that is grossly overrepresented. I too would like to see a study on this; but the data would be tainted by a number of different factors.
The short answer is, I think it does affect the voting behavior to an extent.
I believe that sex appeal is one of Obama's many crutches, and I see both genders buying into it--incl. gay, straight, and in between. BTW, sex-appeal isn't just confined to physical appearance. Some people find a smart person sexy, or a muscular person, a person with tattoos, or a prison record sexy, etc.
In my opinion, the obama is a complete sexual turn-off in every category, but I certainly think that an argument can, and is, being made that Obama is more "hip" than Romney: the obama probably likes hip-hop "music", drinks beer, smokes, and hangs out with movie starts--all attributes of a better presidential material in tune with the masses.
"Never attempt to teach a pig to sing; it wastes your time and annoys the pig."

Of course it is, it's the same excuse that axelrod is now trying to use to explain why the obama couldn't put a coherent sentence together in the last debate. Feel free to find any links you want. I'll be interested to see how Romney's "lying" is to blame for the obama's abysmal record.

No, there are plenty of real reasons to hate him: intentionally destroying the economy, raising the national debt above GDP, borrowing from China to give cell phones to worthless, toothless crack whores, hating America, and appointing devout racists and communists to high office. You know, the same reasons that you like him.
Stupid woman are fun, but eventually you will want to find an intelligent woman. They are waaaaay funner.
