Dont think I can make this one, George. Daughter getting married in May and the Missus is dead set on me remodeling the bathroom before everyone lands on our doorstep. I'm screwed for time this spring, bro.

Where's it at??

I am hoping to be able to make it if it isn't all the way up by Canada and you've still got room. Is it going to be at your place in Bedford?

ED: It will be held in New Bedford Mass. I is just before Cape Cod. We use to be the whaling capital of the world. And still have the biggest fishing fleet on the east coast.

George:
Count me in for the hammer-in. Wife will be babysitting the grandkids that weekend. Good time for me to plan on coming down. I have a bunch of that steel I told you about that I can bring. Also, let me know what else I can bring. Where do I send the money?. Please e-mail me the directions to your house again. Thanks.

Marcel

Still got room??

Looks like I can make it if you still have room. Let me know and I'll send Mr Chisel my check. What time are you starting, and do you have crash space? I have a tent etc if you've got a yard....
It'll be my first hammer in with you folks so let me know where you're located and anything I should bring.
Looking forward to meeting you all.
Ed

Ed:I have a big backyard that you can pitch a tent in. We also have a motel just 1 1/2 miles from my house. Just send check made out to NECKA to Joe Brum.
We start around 9:00am and try to get all the demo's done by lunch. At lunch we have a NECKA meeting and then let people try there hand at welding cable damascus, forging and grinding. Also on the back burner canister welding and mokumne. The mokumne may not occur if we can not find someone to do the demo or unless I get the time to learn how to do it. We end when we run out of beer.

GRRR!!!!

I had made plans to go, I even had overnight plans made but....

The New Hampshire State Judo tournament just landed on the same weekend. I had better take my club to that, else I will have a very upset team including a 6'4" 240# 14 year old bruiser.

I hope that you'll have another meeting/hammer in this summer and NHJI doesn't schedule something on the same day.

Good luck!

Anyone that plans on attending should bring a pair of safety glasses. You will also have to sign a release form.

Hey George, I will do the Mokume demonstration if you send a plane to come get me.

Heck I'll even bring my own materials and let some lucky person take home the billet.

Sounds like you all are going to have some fun, wish i lived closer. Make sure you give us an update on what happened.

Rob: We are only having pizza this time, we are trying to keep the cost down. I may make my Heat treating beans, that will save more $$ on gas for the forges.

Thanks Indian George! I will take you up on it soon.

Now I'm going to fire up a 55 gal drum... I mean my new charcoal kiln. I'm going to get a head start on fuel as well as melting the snow in the yard.

Take care!

Joe
