Damascus Recon Bowie

A discussion came up in another thread about a special edition Damascus Recon Bowie. I thought I'd tell you guys more about it and show a picture:

• A protoype of this model was shown at S.H.O.T. Show 2001 and some orders were taken.
• Only 20 were made and were numbered.
• MSRP: $450.00
• The Damascus was hand forged in Japan by Saji.

Just to let you know, they were all presold (so I don't think there's any available).

Correction: I did just check with our inventor controller and I think we have one or two in stock. I was very surprised by this, because I was certain they were all presold.

Ron, Is there any chance that SOG will make some more knives like that in the near furure? Not that a poor college student like me could afford it.

Do you know how Takeshi Saji makes his blades? I'm curious what steels he's using and how they're laminated. It looks different than most damascus made in N. America.
