Scrap Yard Dog Father - Performance Pics!

Here is the new Scrap Yard Dog Father. It will up for sale within the week on the Scrap Yard website.

Thanks for looking,

Dan

www.scrapyardknives.com

Here are some final pics of our extensive, destructive testing! The first pics show the enormous lateral strength of the Dog Father! We bolted a 4-foot long solid steel bar to the tang of the Dog Father and then bent it all the way to the floor without breaking! The knife remains unbroken!

The pic below shows the cutting and edge holding horsepower of the Dog Father!. . . We cut over 300 pieces of 1inch hemp rope without dulling! Our proprietary heat treatment and deep cryogenic treatment sets our SR-77 apart from all other regular S-7 blades on the market. The edge holding was very, very good!

Dan why did you do this? I feel my chances of getting a Dogfather slimer and slimer you need to post those kind of things AFTER it has been on sale for a few days.

This could mean trouble for the old man.

Government has me hustling this week -- I could easily miss this.

Oh well, perhaps there'll be a reasonable order period. I can dream.

NO. The Dog Father did not go back to true after the cheater bar hit the floor. Sorry if I wasn't clear on this.

The Dog Father WAS able to bend 32 degrees and return to true!

After the vise bend shown in the above pics, the knife had taken a permanent set but remained unbroken.

Thanks,

Dan

Very nice knife. I like the protective paper shielding as well, nice to know Jerry is becoming serious about implementing those safety standards for his friends and family.

Cliff,
Are you planning to beat one of these Dog Fathers to death?

great tests!

I have a small question (sorry for the terms, I hope you understand me right)

during tests with hemp rope - did you only made push cuts by weighing on the knife or as normal cutting?

32 degree bend and returns to true is nothing to sneeze at.

For some reason I can't see the pictures, just little boxes with red X's. Can someone tell me the length of the blade, the type of handles, and whether it will come with a satin finish - thanks much.
